Whistleblowing

The company considers the effective and accurate processing of reports as a significant sign of its commitment to promoting a culture of transparency and combating illegality. To this end, the company has implemented the requirements of Legislative Decree No. 24/2023, which transposes European Directive 2019/1937 concerning the protection of persons reporting breaches of national and European regulations within the company.

The reported breaches may include:

  • Suspected criminal activities by executives and representatives of the company
  • Suspected serious breaches of tax laws within the company
  • Continuous violations of company regulations or breaches of the code of ethics
  • Continuous violations of occupational health and safety regulations and environmental protection
  • Corruption
  • Theft
  • Forgery of documents
  • Protection of personal data
  • Network and information systems security
  • Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.

Excluded from reporting are reports, complaints, claims, or requests related to personal interests of the reporting person, such as compensation or relations with colleagues, as well as unnecessary reports aimed at gossip, revenge, opportunism, or scandalization.

The reporting person must be certain that the information about breaches is truthful and verifiable, as failure to do so may lead to legal consequences. The reporting person must explicitly declare their intention to treat their identity confidentially and seek legal protection as provided by law.

Employees, members of corporate bodies, or third parties (e.g., consultants, freelancers, interns) can submit a report, even anonymously, ensuring absolute confidentiality and protection of personal data through the following channels:

  • Digital channel: Online reports at https://www.trustwhistle.it/en/weico-gmbh.html. The link to this page can be found on the website.
  • Oral channel: Reporting to Nadia Pernthaler. In case of a conflict of interest, the report can be made directly to the company management through Mr. Helmut Gschliesser.

All personal data relating to the whistleblower will not be disclosed to individuals or entities within the company. It is explicitly assured that the company will not take retaliatory measures against the whistleblower for reasons directly or indirectly related to the report.

Within seven working days of the report, the whistleblower will receive confirmation that the report has been received, and within three months, they will be informed of the outcome of the report.
